04.07.2018 Share

Guided by its support for the values and principles of sportsmanship and the Olympic spirit, HYGEIA Group has been actively supporting the athletes of the Greek Olympic Team, offering free-of-charge healthcare services and assisting them in their preparations for the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics.

Commenting on this partnership with the Hellenic Olympic Committee, the HYGEIA Group CEO, Mr Andreas Kartapanis, noted, “Throughout its long course, HYGEIA Group has been serving healthcare, with respect, sensitivity and compassion towards people. The Olympic Games are a special moment, with every one of us embracing the athletes’ efforts to showcase Greece, sportsmanship and the Olympic ideals. We are extremely proud to be able to participate in making the dreams of these athletes come true. These dreams are the ultimate sporting challenge for Greece, especially during these tough times. We wish them all the best and hope to welcome them back as winners.”

On his part, the President of the Hellenic Olympic Committee, Mr Spyros Kapralos, stated, “We are very proud to welcome HYGEIA Group in the Hellenic Olympic family, as sponsors of the Greek Olympic Team, offering medical services to the athletes of the ‘Adopt an Athlete on the Way to Tokyo’ initiative. This partnership is quite significant, as all the athletes who are preparing feverishly and training many hours of the day to qualify for the Tokyo Games can rest assured that they have a strong ally by their side to help them whenever the need arises, even in the toughest of times. I would like to thank the HYGEIA Group Management for this decision to support the Greek Olympic Team, but also the medical, nursing, auxiliary and administrative staff, who I am confident will try their hardest to help our athletes with anything that may come up.”
