Marios T. Kyriacou, Vice-President of the Executive Committee, American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce

Marios T. Kyriacou, as the Senior Partner of KPMG Greece since 1977, has contributed significantly to the Firm's development. He qualified as a chartered accountant (Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales - ICAEW) in London in 1968. He worked in London and in Rome, before coming to Greece in 1971, where he helped in the establishment of the Firm. He served in the Firm's European Professional Practice and Operations Committees having responsibility for Greece and Cyprus. He was also member of the KPMG European Region Board.

On the professional side, Marios T. Kyriacou is a member and the first President of the Association of Certified Auditors and and Accountants of Greece (SELE). He is also a member of the Institute of Certified Auditors and Accountants (SOEL), where he served in the past as a member of the Professional Practice Board, whereas now he is the Vice-President of the Supervisory Council of SOEL. Finally, he is a member of the Banks Working Party of the FEE (Fédération des Experts Comptables Européens) and the contact member of ICAEW for Greece. On the social and economic contribution side, he has served on the Boards of a number of not-for-profit entities both as a member and President. Until recently he was the President of the Board of the Propeller Club. Currently, he is the Vice-President of the Executive Committee of the American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce.

He has wide experience and strong specialisation in Greek and international tax matters, company restructuring, investment issues, mergers and acquisitions, accounting systems and internal audit systems. He has contibuted as a professional business advisor to the solving of a variety of matters of many Greek and foreign companies and has also been involved in a large number of mergers and acquisitions. His involvement in the Greek market (for over 30 years) combined with his involvement in international affairs has allowed him to be a valuable adviser on many issues.
