GENESIS Pharma is a leading Greek pharmaceutical company. It was founded in 1997 with the mission to ensure that all patients in Greece suffering from severe and rare diseases have direct access to innovative branded medicines.

The company managed to become one of the first companies in Europe specializing in the marketing, sales and distribution of biopharmaceutical products, at a time when biotechnology was still at an early stage of its development, and is currently the largest among Greek companies specializing in innovative branded medicines.

Headquartered in Athens, GENESIS Pharma has expanded its activities to Cyprus, through its subsidiary GENESIS Pharma (Cyprus) Ltd, but also to the broader region of Southeast Europe, mainly in Bulgaria, Romania and Croatia. Through long standing strategic alliances with some of the leading multinational pharmaceutical companies committed to cutting edge R&D, GENESIS Pharma has created a strong product portfolio. Two of its partners, Biogen and Celgene, are among the largest biopharmaceutical corporations worldwide by market capitalization.

GENESIS Pharma currently imports more than 20 products. Its portfolio includes novel branded pharmaceutical products of high therapeutic value, many of which are biotech. It is considered as one of the most specialized companies in multiple sclerosis in Greece with an extensive product portfolio, while it maintains a wide product portfolio for rare hematological malignancies and threatening cancers, such as multiple myeloma, metastatic pancreatic cancer and metastatic breast cancer.

In the last ten years, GENESIS Pharma ranks among the largest pharmaceutical companies operating in the Greek market by turnover, and is firmly amongst the leaders in hospital sales in the country.

From its first year of operation, corporate responsibility has been an integral part of GENESIS Pharma. Professionalism, transparency and accountability have been, and remain, the key elements that characterize the company’s relationships with its employees and partners, the medical community and patients, as well as society at large. The company implements an integrated human resources program that aims at fostering a fair, creative and pleasant working environment. It has adopted an environmental policy with the aim to minimize its environment footprint. Ιt supports numerous patient associations, finances medical and clinical research and invests in various social contribution activities mainly in the areas of Health, Education of the younger generation and Greek entrepreneurship.

From 2000 until now, GENESIS Pharma has received numerous awards and certifications for its growth and productivity rates and its commitment to innovation, quality, corporate responsibility and good work environment. Most recently, GENESIS Pharma was included in the 110 leading European companies in the prestigious European Business Awards 2014-15 receiving the «Ruban d 'Honneur» award.
