“A dog is the only thing on earth that loves you more than he loves himself.”

Josh Billings

Liberty Guide Dogs was founded in 2018 with the objective to train assistance dogs for visually impaired people and people with other disabilities, such as young children with autism, people with mobility disabilities as well guide dogs for operators in Greece and abroad. The first dog guide trained by us, Liberty, was the source of inspiration for the name of our school.

No one can deny that dogs are the best and most loyal friend of a human being. At Liberty Guide Dogs, we share this vision with our “partners” as the specially trained dogs of the Liberty Center become the “eyes” of visually impaired people to provide them with the freedom, mobility and independence they need in their everyday lives.

Liberty Guide Dogs provide specially trained guide dogs to those in need and our vision for the future is based on very specific values:

Empathy
We try to understand in depth the challenges of everyday life and the peculiarities of the people we serve. We provide excellent quality of life to puppies and dogs trained by us, utilizing the most up-to-date and recognized techniques, always by respecting the dog. As a result, we teach our customers to handle and care for their dogs exactly in the same way.

Sincerity
We honour all commitments to our customers, volunteers and partners and our local community. We commit to the proper management of all donations offered to our organization.

Respect
We respect and strengthen the role of the customer, the volunteer and the partner as equal contributors to the common goal of all, the viability of our centre so that we can continue to offer valuable help to our fellow human beings.

Team Spirit
We all work together with a positive mood, uniting our strengths and combining our skills and knowledge to achieve our goals. We all together can do more and that is one of the most important elements of our vision.
