Innovation Forum - Update: Ethical Trade and Human Rights Forum goes virtual

07.04.2020 Share

We are excited to announce that Ethical Trade and Human Rights Forum NYC will now take place virtually on the 5th-6th May 2020.

We will ensure an engaging and interactive experience that best replicates the value of a physical conference, through the use of a sophisticated online platform. We’ve placed a great emphasis on the importance of networking and on delivering real life, practical content and problem solving around the key issues.

The virtual platform will enable:

  • Networking: Pre-plan 1:1 meetings and group discussions directly on the platform, whilst benefiting from easy to use networking features that promote genuine engagement with key stakeholders
  • Content: Relevant and practical discussion through engaging, focused and candid session formats with high-level speakers and dynamic moderators that ensure audience participation
  • Problem solving: The online working groups and small group workshop discussions will help drive progress on important practical challenges

Agenda highlights include:
  • Discover how to ensure social issues remain a priority for consumers and business with Timberland, Kering and Greenpeace US
  • PepsiCo, Google and Freshfields explain how to keep ahead of the regulatory curve and avoid the rising tide of enforcement
  • Procurement-sustainability relationships: Pirelli and Mondelez International discuss best practice to engage and incentivize procurement
  • Navigate the (risk) map to success: Methods to increase supply chain traceability and prioritize high risk areas with IBM, New Balance and Diginex
  • Cargill and Save the Children discuss how they are supporting systemic changes to mitigate the risk of child labor in supply chains
  • Effective due diligence: Comprehensive and resource-effective methods for business to manage and mitigate material risks with Intel and Freshfields
  • Responsible recruitment: Walmart, Diginex and UN Global Compact explain how business can protect migrant and seasonal workers
  • AB InBev, Unseen and Tyson Foods explore how to balance stakeholder concerns and showcase the value of disclosure

View the newly updated agenda here.

You can now join all these 100+ speakers and delegates, including attendees from Facebook, McDonalds, ABN AMRO, Bank of America, Nike and The Hershey Company, with a reduced online rate.

Register online by the end of Thursday 9th April and get a $100 discount on your pass.

In the absence of physical conferences, we're really pleased to be able to maintain a candid and progressive dialogue in this area. We'd like to thank our speakers, sponsors and delegates for continuing to participate and engage during these difficult times. We're looking forward to hosting a really interesting couple of days at the beginning of May and hope you can join too.
