First Conference of the European antibullying network: School bullying and cyberbullying across Europe

It is our great pleasure to announce the 1st Conference of the European Antibullying Network: "School bullying and cyberbullying across Europe", to be held in Athens on 11-13 June 2014, in the context of the EU co-funded project EAN (Daphne III) and under the auspices of the Hellenic Presidency of the Council of the European Union. During the conference the official founding ceremony of the Network will take place.

The EAN project aims at:

● The establishment of the European Anti-bullying Network;

● The development of a common European strategy to tackle bullying;

● The implementation of a European awareness campaign for the establishment of a European Anti-bullying Day

● The mapping and promotion of best practices in order to address the phenomenon

Key note speakers will be highly recognized academics at both National and European level for their research and intervention work on Bullying. During the conference a series of parallel sessions and experiential workshops will take place.

The President of the Scientific Committee is Professor Vassiliki Artinopoulou, while the internationally recognized researcher, Professor Dan Olweus, holds the position of the Honorary President of the Committee.

The agenda of the Conference will focus on the following topics:

Bullying: Scientific approach
Risk Factors for bullying victimization(e.g. sexual orientation,nationality,health)
Bullying in intimate relations
Good practices addressing the phenomenon of bullying
Specialized forms of bullying: Cyberbullying, bullying in sports
Bullying and/or juvenile delinquency: A legal approach
